Three independent FREE workshops will take place on the Wednesday 13th November 2013.  CST and IMST hold their workshops at the School of Electronic, Electrical and Systems Engineering building at Loughborough University. This building is next door to the Burleigh Court.  ANSYS will be holding their workshop at Burleigh Court.

Information on how to book your place will be available shortly.  If you wish to be informed about any of the workshops, please email us.

CST LogoCST Microwave Studio Workshop

CST invites you to a FREE one-day seminar that hopes to give antenna, EMC, microwave, RF and SI engineers an insight into how the CST STUDIO SUITETM 2012 can be used to analyse and optimise applications ranging from simple components to complex systems. The workshop will introduce the new features of CST STUDIO SUITETM 2012 and will give a number of technical talks on antenna and component design. Participants will have ample opportunity to use the software and discuss technical questions with CST staff.

IMST LogoIMST EMPIRE XCcel Workshop

IMST run a FREE one-day workshop on using EMPIRE XCcel 6.01.  The theme for this workshop is "Efficient EM design of complex antennas, RF MEMS and RF modules".  The workshop is comprised of two parts: a morning session where invited speakers present key topics, and in the afternoon a hands-on workshop will be given, focusing on advanced modelling and state of the art simulation techniques. EMPIRE XCcel – developed by engineering excellence – is one of the leading 3D electromagnetic field simulators. It is based on the powerful Finite Difference Time Domain method (FDTD), which has become an industrial standard for RF and microwave component and antenna design.

ANSYS HFSS Workshop

ANSYS will be running a FREE workshop this year on HFSS, their 3-D full-wave electromagnetic field simulation tool. The workshop will take place at Burleigh Court.  ANSYS HFSS software is the industry-standard simulation tool for 3-D full-wave electromagnetic field simulation and is essential for the design of high-frequency and high-speed component design. HFSS offers multiple state-of the-art solver technologies based on either the proven finite element method or the well established integral equation method.
