Manuscripts submitted to LAPC 2013 should be A4 size, a maximum of 6 pages long and should be in 2 column format style.  This is the standard format followed by IEEE Technical Co-sponsored conferences.  Full manuscripts must be submitted before the 3rd June (Monday midnight GMT); we do not accept single page abstracts.

1. Correctly format manuscript

Manuscript template downloadPlease use the template given below to construct your manuscript.  Since all presented papers will be submitted to the IEEE Xplore database, it is vital that your paper meets their requirements. LAPC 2013 will only be issuing an electronic copy of the proceedings and so colour figures and diagrams are welcomed.  Please do not include page numbers in your manuscript.  Please do not change the header.  Templates are available in MS Word and LaTeX formats. Manuscripts must be converted to PDFs before uploading.

IEEE A4 Microsoft Word Paper Template

Alternatively, a LateX paper template is also available

IMPORTANT: Correct copyright clearance code notice statement in the footer of the paper

An IEEE Xplore copyright clearance code notice must be included at the bottom left corner of the first page.  The above Microsoft Word template already has a default copyright clearance code notice included (978-1-4799-0091-6/13/$31.00 ©2013 IEEE).  This clearance code is valid for papers where all authors are NOT employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia) or the US government (Please note, Universities are not considered as Crown government or US government).

Alternatively, for papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice should be changed to: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright

For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice should be changed to: 978-1-4799-0091-6/$31.00 ©2013 Crown

2. Convert to PDF using IEEE PDF eXpress

IEEE PDF eXpress logoAll manuscripts must be converted to the IEEE Xplore compliant PDF format before being uploaded. Please note, PDFs found to be non-IEEE Xplore compliant will be prevented from uploading. You can create an IEEE Xplore compliant PDF file by using the IEEE PDF eXpress tool. Follow this link to create yourself a new account and upload the manuscript for conversion. Once complete, the PDF file will be e-mailed to you.  More detailed instructions on how to use IEEE PDF eXpress are available to download.

Our Conference ID is LAPC2013x

3. Upload manuscript using EDAS
Manuscript submission to LAPC 2013 takes place through EDAS.  If you do not already have an EDAS account, you will need to create one to Login.  Once logged in, select LAPC 2013 from the conference listings. You will need to provide a title, an abstract (up to 150 words), paper topic and all author details. Please ensure all names, addresses and email details are correctly entered and are the same as those which appear in the manuscript.  Any inconsistencies may result in your paper being incorrectly indexed in IEEE Xplore. Once the manuscript is registered and uploaded, you will receive email confirmation. You can visit your manuscript details at any time to view progress. Changes can only be made up to the paper submission deadline.

Upload your manuscript

All accepted papers will be presented at poster sessions.  It is the policy of LAPC that in order for a paper to be submitted to IEEE Xplore, at least one author from the paper must register and attend the conference.  There is no limit on how many posters one author can present.
